Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel with my bridesmaids in the bridal suite. The rooms were everything we needed and more, furnished in keeping with the age of the building. However, being on the ground floor meant we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy, with a pub bench right outside the window.
Staying at the hotel was a mix of comfort and some chintzy decor in the ‘Piano Lounge’. Our room, although beautifully allocated, had a cozy vibe with some room for improvement. The service was a bit of a hit and miss, with some pleasant staff interactions but also some messy situations left for the housekeeping team. The location offered a beautiful setting in a quiet village, although there were cleanliness issues with full ashtrays and a used tissue. The dining experience provided varied choices but fell short compared to previous stays. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.
My stay at the hotel was lovely. The rooms were not only comfortable but also had elegant decor, good lighting, and conveniently placed sockets. I particularly liked the snail table, perfect for using my laptop. The staff was friendly and accommodating, although the room temperature took a while to adjust properly, especially on cold days below freezing.
The hotel offers a mix of positives and some drawbacks. The rooms are decent, but could be better for the value. The service is top-notch with friendly and well-trained staff. The location is lovely, although quite rural, and the dining experience has its ups and downs. Overall, a place to consider with some room for improvement.
